It's happening. Thierry Henry is about to make his managerial debut after reports confirmed that the former Arsenal forward is in talks to take over at Ligue 1 side Bordeaux and a potential fixture in October is bringing back so many memories.

Henry, who was in the Belgium set-up at this year's World Cup, is set to take over from Gus Poyet.

The former Spurs man criticised the club's transfer window activity, labeling the sale of Gaetan Laborde to rivals Montpellier as a 'disgrace'.

Former boss Arsene Wenger confirmed that Henry wanted the vacant role at Bordeaux. "Yes, he wants to do it," Wenger told Corse Matin.

"He is intelligent and he has the qualities. The existential question that we always ask ourselves is whether we are ready to sacrifice our life for the coaching profession."

Now French newspaper RMC have confirmed that the 41 year old has agreed to become the club's new manager, which means one thing.

A mouth-watering reunion with former teammate Patrick Vieira is on the cards next month. Clear your calendars, Arsenal fans, this is going to be something special.

Vieira currently manages Ligue 1 side Nice, and if that post remains. the pair will meet on the touchline on October 27. YES!

The likes of Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard have swapped their boots for Chelsea leather after taking over at Derby County and Rangers respectively, and now Henry is taking over.

It feels like a Football Manager save has come to life.
