Lionel Messi is not human, I swear. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has only gone and produced another moment of pure magic in a game against Getafe at the weekend, and it's absolutely stunning.
In the 27th minute the Barcelona number 10 was surrounded by six opponents on the edge of the area, but despite half the team clinging on to Messi like a magnet, he somehow managed to retain possession.

He ran towards the bunch, like a man possessed, and offloaded a cutting pass to Arthur, who overlapped him and managed to create a goalscoring opportunity.
How in the name of Messi has he done this? Take a bow.
Messi found himself on the scoresheet, of course, but a stand out moment in the game came in the 22nd minute, just five minutes before he evaded six Getafe players.

Just check out this pass to Luis Suarez, a piece of genius that fooled the whole of the defence, and might have fooled Suarez if the striker was a lesser man.
Is he the best passer in world football? It's a very good argument after watching this clip
The 31-year-old is now just one goal away from 400 goals in La Liga, and it's a stat that sums up his dominance in Spain.

These stats are just insane, and remember he only came fifth in the 2018 Balon d'Or standings. FIFTH.
