We might have to wait another two months for the UEFA Champions League to come around again, but we can at least get excited about the Round of 16 draw on Monday 17 December.

So what are the rules? There are two pots - one of seeded teams and one of unseeded teams. No club can be drawn against a team that played in their group or a side from their own national association.

Seeded group winners are away in the round of 16 first legs on 12/13 and 19/20 February and at home in the return matches on 5/6 and 12/13 March, according to UEFA's official website.

Real Madrid, the current holders, can face Ajax, Liverpool, Lyon, Man. United, Schalke and Tottenham in next week's draw, while one of the favourites, Manchester City, can only draw Ajax, Atlético, Roma and Schalke.

So what are the probabilities of each side in the draw facing each other?

Group Winners: Barcelona (ESP), Bayern München (GER), Borussia Dortmund (GER), Juventus (ITA), Manchester City (ENG), Paris Saint-Germain (FRA), Porto (POR), Real Madrid (ESP)

Group runners up: Ajax (NED), Atlético Madrid (ESP), Liverpool (ENG), Lyon (FRA), Manchester United (ENG), Roma (ITA), Schalke (GER), Tottenham Hotspur (ENG)

Manchester City have a 26.5% chance of drawing Atletico Madrid, while Manchester United are 17.5% favourites to get Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund on Monday.

Fellow Premier League rivals Liverpool and Tottenham are also more likely to draw Dortmund compared to the likes of Bayern and Real Madrid.

We're sure to get some mouth-watering ties next week, so keep an eye out.

Who would you like to see going toe-to-toe with each other?
