Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Post Match Interview In 2014 Will Remind You Of Sir Alex Ferguson

"Do you see Liverpool as a potential title winners this season?"

Manchester United's new caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer played under the often ruthless and relenting management style of Sir Alex Ferguson during his 11 year stint at Old Trafford.

Sir Alex was a no-nonsense, straight talking manager who was solely focused on his team, especially when it came to post-match interviews.

If you look back at the countless amount of interviews he took part in, before and after games, Ferguson would often play mind games with the opponent and their manager, whether that be team news or a sly little dig.

He also didn't enjoy pointless questions, something that both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Sir Alex have in common, judging by this clip from 2014.

Shortly after his Cardiff side conceded six goals against a rampant Liverpool side, Solskjaer was asked whether he saw his opponents as potential title winners.

It didn't go down well. "I couldn't care less." he said, walking away from the conversation moments later.

United officially confirmed that former player Solskjaer will become their manager on a temporary basis, and said the following in an official statement.

"Solskjær will take charge of the first team with immediate effect and will remain in place while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a new full-time manager. He will be joined by Mike Phelan as first-team coach, working alongside Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna.

"Manchester United is in my heart and it's brilliant to be coming back in this role. I'm really looking forward to working with the very talented squad we have, the staff and everyone at the club,"

said Solskjær.

Ed Woodward, Executive Vice Chairman, comments:

"Ole is a club legend with huge experience, both on the pitch and in coaching roles. His history at Manchester United means he lives and breathes the culture here and everyone at the club is delighted to have him and Mike Phelan back. We are confident they will unite the players and the fans as we head into the second half of the season."
