Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Ruins Alan Shearer In His Post-Match Interview

"I was having a good night until then!"

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer must have woken up on this sunny Tuesday morning with a huge grin on his face after last night's impressive 2-0 win over Chelsea in the FA Cup.

Manchester United made light work of Maurizio Sarri's depleted side, with goals from Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba sealing a relatively easy fifth round tie.

Solskjaer is certainly ticking all the boxes at present.

From the counter attacking style of play United fans were all too used to when Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge, to his enthusiastic and refreshing interviews, this guy has it all.

And he's not afraid to have a laugh, just ask former Newcastle forward turned pundit, Alan Shearer.

In his post-match interview, Solskjaer made sure to give Shearer some stick about the 1999 FA Cup final, where goals from Teddy Sheringham and Paul Scholes sealed another trophy for Ferguson's men.

"I was having a good night until then!" Shearer responded, but Ole had the last laugh.

Of course, presenter Gary Lineker loved the jibe and quickly fired another jab at Shearer, saying:

"Thanks very much for reminding us that Alan Shearer never won the FA Cup,"

The Norwegian continues to make a strong case to become the full-time manager at Old Trafford, and if he continues to produce the goods both on and off the field, then he may well get a permanent position.

Does he deserve the job?
