At the age oi just 19, AS Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniola has already been compared to the likes of Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard, and there's a very, very good reason why.

Zaniola, who made his debut for the club back in September this year, has impressed for the Italian side this season and in their last game against Sassuolo on Wednesday night, the youngster scored arguably the best goal you'll see this Christmas.

He managed to chop back, dummy both the defender and goalkeeper, and then dink the ball over the pair, who looked on in astonishment.

You can see why people are touting this lad for big things. What a goal.

Zaniola, who has made 14 appearances this season, joined AS Roma in the summer window, and was part of the deal that brought Radja Nainggolan to Inter Milan.

But it looks like Eusebio Di Francesco has a hell of a player on his hands.

According to his former coach at Inter, Stefano Vecchi, the 19-year-old has all the characteristics to become a true great.

"He will go places," Vecchi told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "He has the characteristics to become a modern mezzala. He's a [Steven] Gerrard, [Frank] Lampard-type player."

AS Roma legend Francesco Totti, who played with some of the all-time greats in his time with club and country, also had a few kind words for the midfielder.

"He has explosive strength and technique, and everything it takes to become a truly great player. Don't let him hear me though. He may yet change course and I don't want that on my shoulders."

Remember the name, Nicolo Zaniola.
