Tunnel footage from Tuesday night's friendly between Brazil and England has given us a great insight into the motives behind Neymar's world record move to Paris Saint-Germain.

As Neymar walked out with his Brazilian teammates, he soon approached the young mascots and perhaps to their surprise, the 25-year-old then began chatting with several of them.

One mascot then asked Neymar why he decided to move to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer and his reaction is priceless:

To his credit, the Brazilian gave an honest answer as the two teams prepared to go toe-to-toe. "To make the French league the best." Neymar told the mascot.

Neymar completed his record breaking move from Barcelona to the French capital in August and the Brazilian has since scored 11 goals in 12 games.

In fact PSG have have won 15 from 17 so far in all competitions, with the winger playing a pivotal role in the club's successful start to the season.

His answer is perhaps a little ambitious considering the huge following of La Liga and the Premier League, but the fact that both Kylian Mbappe and Neymar signed for the Ligue 1 side shows great promise.

That being said, Neymar has caused plenty of controversy in recent weeks.

The Brazilian has been at odds in the media with former employers Barcelona, has clashed with strike partner Edinson Cavani over who takes set pieces and was sent off during a league game against Marseille.

It's now being reported that several PSG players are losing patience with the preferential treatment the world's most expensive player has been receiving since he arrived in the French capital.

Le Parisien revealed that PSG's players have been told to take it easy on the Brazilian in training, while Neymar also doesn't have to bother with defensive duties, despite other attackers having to do so in training matches.

He may be seen as a controversial character is the dressing room, but you've got to appreciate his act of kindness ahead of Brazil vs England on Tuesday night.
