Neymar debuted a brand new celebration in last night's French League Cup tie against Amiens.

Wearing the iconic mercurials brought out in honour of the 1998 classics worn by the original (and best) Ronaldo, the Paris Saint-Germain forward balanced a boot on top of his head after slotting a penalty away in the 53rd minute.

Many presumed that a Nike PR stunt was behind the celebration, but Neymar explained the reasoning on Instagram shortly after the full-time whistle.

The celebration was, infact, a tribute to his good friend Joao Celso Moraes.

Moraes' party trick involves him balancing a drink on his head, so what did Neymar do? Balance a boot on his head. Obviously.

Some PR guy in the Nike headquarters fist pumped the air and thanked Neymar for doing his job at around 10pm last night.

It was Neymar's 20th goal of the season for club and country, but many disregarded that fact because of this bizarre celebration.

To celebrate Emile Heskey's birthday, here's a number of reasons why the former Liverpool striker is BETTER than Lionel Messi

Here are some of the best reactions from Neymar's bizarre celebration last night:

Neymar is flying at the moment. Can he lead Paris Saint-Germain to Champions League glory?
