It has been a fairytale journey for French third division side Les Herbiers in the 2018 Coupe de France.

Les Herbiers, who play in the 5,000 capacity Stade Massabielle, booked their place in the final where they will face Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain in a David vs. Goliath clash.

They may only average a home attendance of 1,500 on a weekly basis but the minnows will try and do the seemingly impossible by beating Unai Emery's side who's starting XI is valued at around £548.8 million.

It has been a hell of a journey for the minnows.

Les Herbiers, who are currently ninth in the French third division, defeated the likes of Auxerre and Lens to progress to the final.

They eventually reached their dream after beating fellow third division side Chambly in the semi's as they now prepare for the biggest fixture in their history at the Stade de France.

PSG manager Unai Emery will approach the game like any other, according to his post-match comments after PSG defeated Caen on Wednesday evening to reach the final:

"It's a final, it's a title, it's the Coupe de France. If they got to the final, they deserve it," Emery told the media.

"There are many teams who won't be in the final because they did not do as well. Congratulations to them for experiencing a historic moment, also for us, to play for the title at a full Stade de France, it is a unique moment in life.

"The best way to show respect is to play to win."

Can Les Herbiers produce one of the biggest shocks in club football history?
