Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw will be eager to be involved in Jose Mourinho's plans next season after a stop-start 2017/18 campaign.
Shaw has struggled for minutes in the first team since suffering that horrific double leg fracture against PSV Eindhoven in 2015, but he will be looking to try and force his way into contention in the coming months.
In fact, the 22-year-old is training at the Nad Al Sheba Complex in Dubai ahead of returning to Carrington next week to improve his fitness
It looks like he's already reaping the benefits. Shaw posted the following picture on his Instagram on Friday morning with the caption: "Pre season ready"

Manchester United then re-posted the snap on Twitter, with many fans agreeing that he looks in great shape ahead of the new season.
Can he break into their first team set-up in the coming months?
He then responded to a Twitter user by saying "Am not finished yet" as he bids for first team football next season.
Before a game against CSKA Moscow in December last year, Luke Shaw hadn't started a game in 219 days.

Despite having next to no time in the first team squad, the Manchester United left-back didn't look out of place during his first Champions League tie since 'that' leg break.
Striding down the wing like a man possessed, Shaw deserved the Man of the Match award against CSKA, showing signs of the player Paul Scholes once said was one of the best left-backs in the world.
In fact, Scholes himself spoke about Shaw in depth during an interview with BT Sport, speaking about his lifestyle among other things.

"A couple of years ago I thought Man United were signing the best left-back in the world" Scholes told BT Sport.
Does Mourinho need to give Shaw more of a chance to prove himself in the first team?
