Isco Saves The Day By Rescuing An Injured Bird During Game Against Iran

What a bloke.

Spain midfielder and all round good guy Isco ran the show again, last night.

The 26-year-old completed the most crosses, successful dribbles and passes against Iran on Wednesday night, but the Spaniard's good heart has grabbed the headlines after a narrow 1-0 victory.

In a moment that has been described as heroic, Isco went out of the way to save an injured bird after it landed on the pitch during the World Cup tie in Tehran

The Azadi Stadium applauded as the bird was transferred to the safety of the touchline.

It took a couple of attempts to catch the animal, no thanks to Gerard Pique's dodgy handling, but Isco's persistence paid off. The bloke is now a life saver as well as a really, really good footballer.

Seriously, what can't this man do?

Diego Costa's goal in the 54th minute sealed a unspectacular win against Iran, but it could have easily been more if Spain had converted their chances.

Isco was once again the stand out performer though, and his performances in the coming weeks could give Spain a good chance in lifting the World Cup in July.

Thoughts? Can Spain become world champions again?
