Arsenal were 2-1 up against Fulham on Tuesday afternoon when manager Unai Emery decided to take off goalscorer Alexandre Lacazette for midfielder Aaron Ramsey in the 75th minute.

It was clear that a large section of the home support were frustrated by the substitution, and in turn boo'ed the decision to bring on the Welsh midfielder, who has been strongly linked with a move away from the Emirates.

Despite the initial negativity surrounding Lacazette's replacement, a number of Arsenal supporters were proved wrong just minutes later.

Ramsey bagged a goal four minutes later to secure all three points and well, the rest is history.

Emery's side went on to beat Claudio Ranieri's 4-1 thanks to goals from Granit Xhaka, Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and that man, Aaron Ramsey.

Well that silenced the critics, Unai.

Arsenal fans went on to chant "sign him up" after Ramsey bagged the goal, following intense speculation surrounding his future.

Despite the finish though, Ramsey might be getting ready to leave Arsenal behind after reaching a 'verbal agreement' to end his stay at the Emirates Stadium.

The 27-year-old Welshman has been a target for both Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, but it looks like a third party has entered the race and could land the Gunners star when his contract expires.

According to La Repubblica (via Football Italia), Inter Milan are reportedly close to landing the Wales international next summer.

It is reported that the Italian club met with Ramsey's representatives and have 'reached in principle' an agreement for him to arrive at the San Siro on 1st July.

However, it would seem that Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti wants to push the move ahead to January.

The 59-year-old Italian has reportedly said that he would 'need him immediately,' with I Nerazzurri CEO Giuseppe 'Beppe' Marotta pushing ahead with a deal for January.

Ramsey has asked for '€6-€7m a season' and the club are ready to meet his wage bills, with the Italian newspaper suggesting that the Serie A side have 'the urgency to invest.'

Earlier this month, Arsenal manager Unai Emery revealed that the club have no plans to continue contract negotiations with Ramsey.
