Nobody Can Believe That Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Will Start In World Cup Qualifier

He will reportedly start in England's qualifier against Slovenia on Thursday evening...

It hasn't been the greatest start to life at Liverpool for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Since the 24-year-old completed his move from Arsenal at the end of the window, Jurgen Klopp's side have only won one game from seven.

A below-par performance against Leicester City didn't do the England international any favours, but to be fair, the player has only started once since making the £35 million move, last month.

That hasn't stopped fans from criticising the winger, but tonight's World Cup qualifier against Slovenia could be the kick start he needs to go on and be a success at Liverpool.

Oxlade-Chamberlain will start in an attacking quartet with Raheem Sterling, Marcus Rashford and Harry Kane, according to Sky sources - the perfect opportunity to prove his doubters wrong at Wembley.

Despite his dip in form, Gareth Southgate clearly feels Chamberlain has the minerals to contribute on Thursday evening.
