Mohamed Salah Is Now A Bigger Favourite Than Lionel Messi To Win The Balon d'Or

I've ran out of superlatives to describe the brilliance of Mohamed Salah after tonight.

Not only did he find himself on the scoresheet for the 43rd time this season, netting twice against his former club AS Roma in the Champions League semi-final, but he produced one of the all time great performances in the competition.

Here's the man himself doing what he does best. Scoring goals.

The Egyptian's performance against Manchester City seen him become a huge favourite for the Balon d'Or trophy, but after his heroics on Tuesday night, the Egyptian is now a bigger favourite than Lionel Messi.

Salah is now 5/2 to win the trophy with Sky Bet, while Cristiano Ronaldo is the favourite at 6/4 and Lionel Messi is 3/1.

Does he deserve to be in contention for the Balon d'Or?

Many on social media predicted that if Jurgen Klopp's side go on to win the Champions League, then the 25-year-old will win his first Balon d'Or.

In fact, some even suggested he already deserves to lift the most prestigious individual prize in world football.

Even Manchester United fans are suggesting that he win the Balon d'Or, if Liverpool manage to win the Champions League again.
