People Think They've Worked Out What Was Written On Gareth Southgate's Notepad

Brilliant.

I don't want to alarm you but reports are emerging that it's coming home, according to thousands of England fans around the country.

Do not rub your eyes. It was by far the most convincing win of the World Cup so far as Gareth Southgate's side knocked six, I repeat six, past minnows Panama.

England centre-back John Stones scored a brace, Harry Kane became only the third England player to score a hat-trick in a World Cup match and Jesse Lingard curled in the goal of the game as the Three Lions ran riot.

Hernán Gómez's side managed to pull one back in the end, but it was only a consolation as plenty of records were smashed.

Before, during and after the match, England fans have been getting carried away and why the hell not.

Even the cool, calm and collected figure of Gareth Southagate is getting ahead of himself.

Well he definitely isn't, but there's a meme going round on Twitter right now that suggests otherwise.

A picture of the England manager writing in a notepad emerged online and well, people think they've worked it all out.

"IT'S COMING HOME" was etched across Twitter throughout, and the timely phrase even made it's way inside Southgate's notepad.

Never change, Twitter.
