England fans are lost for words after Gareth Southgate handed Fabian Delph a spot in the starting XI for the Nations League semi-final clash against the Netherlands.
The 29-year-old Manchester City player made sporadic appearances for the Premier League champions last season, but many fans are raising their eyebrows at how he is starting for England.
His inclusion in the starting XI has sent England fans on Twitter into overdrive.
While his inclusion has not been taken well on social media, Delph said that he would be willing to "run through a brick wall" for the Three Lions boss.

"Gareth has a great way about him, [as do] the staff that he's got," he told the Guardian.
"They're really good people and, when you come here, straight away you feel at home. So if they tell you to run through a brick wall, you're going to run through a brick wall.
"You're going to do everything that you can for these people."
Portugal have already booked their spot in the final of the inaugural competition thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo's superb hat-trick on Wednesday.
Will England reach the final of the Nations League?
