Barcelona secured passage to the next round of the Copa del Rey, last night by easily seeing off Celta Vigo, and while new signing Philippe Coutinho wasn't playing, he was in the stands watching his new teammates.

Lionel Messi - who else?! - starred for Barcelona, scoring twice on the night.

The Blaugrana scored five goals without reply at the Camp Nou, winning 6-1 on aggregate.

He opened the scoring in the 15th minute before adding a second minutes later. Jordi Alba and Luis Suarez also got on the score-sheet with Ivan Rakitic completing the rout in the closing stages.

But it was Messi's brilliance which got everybody talking, including a reaction from Coutinho.

He was sitting alongside fellow Brazilian Rafinha and broke into a smile while cheering as Messi netted superbly.

Barcelona have now advanced to the Copa del Rey quarter-final, and are also in the knockout stages of the Champions League, not to mention sitting comfortably at the top of La Liga.

So the prospect of adding another world class player in Coutinho to the Barcelona mix is a truly terrifying thought. Good luck holding onto your La Liga title, Real Madrid.

However, the Barcelona fans will have to wait to see their £142 million man in action.

Coutinho is sidelined through injury and is expected to return in 'around 3 weeks'.

Barcelona's new Brazilian entering the fold will coincide with French winger Ousmane Dembele returning to full fitness, who's back following injury.

And he churned out an impressive display in the cup, last night.

Coutinho. Dembele. Messi. Get excited, Barcelona. Fuck that. Get excited, everyone.
