Sadio Mane was laughing and joking in the dressing room after his furious outburst at Mohamed Salah during Liverpool's Premier League victory over Burnley.

Mane cut a frustrated figure as he trudged off the pitch in the 85th minute. He threw a major tantrum on the bench after Salah failed to square him the ball in the closing stages of Saturday's league game.

His teammates calmed him down, including Jordan Henderson who claimed the Senegalese was laughing and joking following the full-time whistle.

"I couldn't really understand at first, but then when he came in, he was laughing and joking," said Henderson. "The most important thing was we got the result, Sadio knows that.

"He performed really well again. Him and Bobby were really big second ball. He had a fantastic game.

"Like I said, we want to push each other. We want to improve all the time. I quite like that now and again. I think we need it."

Jurgen Klopp also played down the incident after Liverpool's 13th straight Premier League win.

"Sadio cannot hide his emotions, I like that. But all sorted. We spoke about it and everything is fine," the German boss said about his star forward.

"We are individuals, we are emotional. It was a situation in a game. What else could have happened? It was not a phone call."

Roberto Firmino, who scored his side's third goal, defused the situation, too. He pulled a hilarious face as he walked between Mane and Salah back to the dressing room.
