Man United Players Have Told Jose Mourinho They Want Nemanja Matic Dropping

It appears Manchester United players are questioning Jose Mourinho's decision in selecting a certain midfielder.

After producing a classic Champions League comeback against Juventus, Mourinho set his charges up for the Manchester derby.

But he failed to mastermind a result.

City beat United 3-1 at the Etihad to secure three Premier League points.

A few days removed from Sunday's defeat, a report has surfaced regarding Nemanja Matic.

The Times claim United players are doubting Mourinho's decision to stick with Matic.

"Jose Mourinho's reluctance to drop Nemanja Matic has caused some consternation within certain elements of the Manchester United dressing room," The Times reports.

"Mourinho's support of Matic has surprised some players and staff, who feel the midfielder is practically untouchable regardless of his form."

United fans are getting tired of his lackluster outings, too.

Of course, Matic was signed to United by Jose Mourinho who worked with him whilst at Chelsea.

He swapped Stamford Bridge for Old Trafford, sealing a transfer worth a believed £40 million.

But he hasn't quite lived up to Mourinho's expectation though that hasn't stopped him from dropping Matic.

The Serbian international has been an ever present since arriving at the club in 2017, playing 36 league games last season and nine this campaign.

Will Matic keep his place in midfield when United resume their league venture against Palace?
