Ruben Loftus-Cheek has denied reports suggesting he is to become the first openly gay Premier League footballer.

Social media went into overdrive following claims Ruben Loftus-Cheek was set to come out as gay.

However, the 22-year-old has since broke his silence in a classy way.

"Any player who came out as gay, they'd have my full support and respect. But the rumour isn't true," he posted on Twitter.

The brilliant message has racked up over 11,000 Retweets, more than 50,000 'likes' as well as praise from football fans.
