Initial fears appeared to indicate an injury. But the 26-year-old wasn't injured. In fact, he was targeted by his own fans with sections booing him.

"Local media outlet Metrodakar report that there is no indication of an injury and Sadio Mane was merely upset at criticism he received from the terraces during the tie," reports claim.

Mane missed a sitter in the second-half which resulted in Senegal fans jeering him.

Mane has been unable to produce the same heroics for Liverpool on the international scene with Senegal supporters expressing their feelings.

So far this season, Mane has bagged six Premier League goals and has become a vital player for Jurgen Klopp.
