Interesting results.

Liverpool fans have voted on whether they would take Philippe Coutinho back and the results are very, very interesting.

Philippe Coutinho sealed a mega-money transfer to Barcelona in January 2018. He left Anfield for Camp Nou in a deal worth £105 million.

But it hasn't quite worked out. He's failed to make a massive impression.

Coutinho's name has since been doing the rounds in the transfer rumour mills, with reports even linking him with a sensational move to Manchester United.

Though would Liverpool fans welcome back their former player to the club?

Well, we posed that question on Twitter and the results are in.

38% of Liverpool fans would happily take Coutinho back whilst 32% of supporters would also take him back but for a 'cheap' transfer fee.

However, of course, some Liverpool fans wouldn't want to see Coutinho return.

Jurgen Klopp somewhat predicted Coutinho's demise at Barcelona.

"Stay here and they will end up building a statue in your honour," he said back in May 2017.

"Go somewhere else, to Barcelona, to Bayern Munich, to Real Madrid, and you will be just another player. Here you can be something more."

Spanish outlet Marca haven't rated Coutinho's first year at Barcelona, either.

They believe he's had a 'difficult first year' in Spain and have also said 'he has underwhelmed to an extent'.

But the publication does acknowledge his age and potential whilst also adding 'it is just the inconsistency that has differentiated him from other superstar players.'

Of late, Coutinho has failed to nail down a spot in Ernesto Valverde's starting XI. Losing out on a place to Ousmane Dembele in attack.

He's unable to sneak into the midfield, too. The likes of Arturo Vidal, Ivan Rakitic and Sergio Busquest have kept him out of the side.

Marca sign off by claiming 'Coutinho needs to step up and become the player that both him and Barcelona want him to be'.

Will he come good?
