At the age of 17, Angel Gomes has drawn comparisons to a generation of Manchester United greats after he became the youngest Premier League player of all time at the age of just 16 and 263 days.

Before coming on for another Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney, on that day in May last season, Gomes was the youngest player to score a hat-trick for Manchester United's academy in 15 years.

But despite all of these impressive achievements at such a young age, EA Sports have decided against giving the player a realistic game face.

It was only a matter of time before Gomes found out about his appearance on the latest FIFA.

Michy Batshuayi and Benjamin Mendy have already called out FIFA for their lack of judgement, and now Gomes' complaints have gone viral.

The England U18 international, who is the cousin of former United winger Nani, has since aimed a tweet towards EA after the images emerged online.

"Why do I look like Wilfried Bony?" Gomes asked, followed by a barrage of 'haha''s.

Gomes' talents have been praised in recent months. If you look at the Premier League's most talented number 10's, Coutinho and De Bruyne for example, Gomes shares a huge amount of similarities with the big guns.

Great technique, superb spacial awareness, pace, skill and bags of creativity - remind you of anyone?

Someone who Gomes speaks highly about is former Barcelona playmaker Ronaldinho, who was a huge role model for the player growing up.

In an interview with SPORTbible earlier this year, Gomes spoke about the great Brazilian with huge affection:

"Ronaldinho taught me to play with a smile. He had a certain way of playing that was so unique and different. Not many players could pull off the tricks he did. Ronaldinho never seemed to play under pressure.

"He was always the main man during his playing days and nothing phased him."

His future at Old Trafford looks promising. A great talent with huge prospects.

So c'mon EA Sports, give the lad a real game face. He certainly deserves one.
