Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas took an almighty swipe at Tottenham Hotspur this afternoon - by claiming Harry Kane had outgrown the North London side and should head for a 'proper big club'.

Spurs striker Kane helped Gareth Southgate's England put Panama to the sword in sensational style on Sunday afternoon, with the Three Lions booking their place in the World Cup's last-16 by thrashing their opponents 6-1.

Kane, of course, managed to grab a hat-trick, and now sits on top of the competition's top-scorer charts with five goals - helping to cement his reputation as one of the world's best strikers.

The striker signed a new long-term deal with Tottenham just before the World Cup started.

But that hasn't stopped Fabregas from attempting to troll their supporters whilst speaking as a BBC pundit.

The ex-Arsenal man's tongue-in-cheek comment during today's coverage emphasised how little time he has for anybody of the Spurs persuasion.

"I think Harry Kane is best striker in the Premier League, he's now ready to play for a proper big club." he said.

Of course, Fabregas was speaking in a light-hearted sense but Spurs supporters will be desperate to finally win some silverware next season - and finally be recognised as an undisputed 'proper big club'.
