Jamie Carragher's short and ruthless exchange with a Manchester City fan went viral on Monday night following Liverpool's defeat in the FA Cup third round.

It was a disappointing performance from Jurgen Klopp's side.

Goals from Raul Jimenez and a screamer from Ruben Neves sealed a historic win for Wolves, and Carragher was quick to give his thoughts on the result.

"I have no problem with the Liverpool selection from Jurgen Klopp and would rather we had won." the former Liverpool defender said on his official Twitter account.

"But, we have the best chance we've had in years of winning the Premier League and it may be years before we're in this position again.

"The big chance we have is not the four point lead but Manchester City and Tottenham playing a lot more games."

Liverpool have been in scintillating form in Premier League competition this season and have a great chance of winning the title, so you relate to his statement.

Five minutes later, however, Manchester City fan Joleon LesGutt decided to respond to his comment, saying: "Small club mentality. Embarrassing."

It didn't take long for Carragher to respond and to that response, he simply said: "You can't fill your stadium!"

The Etihad was bouncing when City gained precious points in the title race last week, thanks to a 2-1 win against leaders Liverpool.

Can Manchester City win the Premier League this season? Or will Liverpool finally lift a trophy that has eluded them for so long?
