Fans Reacts To Andy Carroll's Potential Shock Move To Spurs

West Ham’s Andy Carroll to Tottenham Hotspur? Well, well...

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made West Ham's Andy Carroll a top transfer target to help solve their back-up striker crisis, according to The Sun.

With number one hitman Harry Kane out until at least March and Hueng-Min Son away on international duty, Mauricio Pochettino was dealt another attacking blow when Dele Alli was pulled-off with minutes left to go in their 2-1 win against Fulham.

Carroll - who's form has plummeted since returning from a long spell out - has had mixed fortunes had the East London club.

Injuries have plagued the former Newcastle and Liverpool striker - and despite starting every game since missing out on West Ham's opening 14 Premier League ties, he's yet to register a goal or even an assist.

The proposed move to London rivals Spurs has raised more than a few eyebrows on Twitter.

Imagine the scenes:

Bournemouth are reportedly asking in excess of £50 million for their star man:

You never know:

Carroll fired them in for fun at Newcastle when he first announced himself on the Premier League stage:

They're some big pockets, mate:

The reaction generally just hasn't been very positive, from Spurs fans anyway:

Twitter seems to have a mixed opinion on the move, but one thing is certain: this would no-doubt be one of January's most surprising transfer moves.

Who should Pochettino's Spurs focus their efforts on signing this month?

Let us know in the comments.
