How did the referee think this was a free-kick?

11 days after being presented as a Real Madrid player, Vinicius Jr has made his eagerly awaited Los Blancos debut and judging by his individual highlights, he will become a real star in years to come.

At the age of just 18 the pacey forward looked in his element against a strong Manchester United side.

He was employed on the wing by manager Julen Lopetegui for the majority of this pre-season friendly tie and don't get me wrong, the Brazilian impressed but unfortunately, one side to his game has been met with heavy criticism.

The former Flamengo man went down way too easily on a number of occasions, especially in the 58th minute after a 'collision' with Matteo Darmian.

Vinicius turned the Italian inside out with a nice piece of footwork, which was met with a gasp from the thousands in attendance, but seconds later the youngster produced a frankly embarrassing dive.

It doesn't even look like the Manchester United defender even made contact, here?

He held his face and winced in pain shortly after he got to his feet.

Manchester United went on to win the game thanks to two first-half goals from Alexis Sanchez and Ander Herrera, as all eyes were on the Brazilian talent, along with the likes of Fred, who was also under the microscope.

Here's a highlight compilation of Vinicius' performance against Jose Mourinho's side:

Expectation will naturally fall on the shoulders of Vinicius Jr. after he completed the big money move to Real Madrid this summer.

But despite thousands watching his first steps as a Los Blancos player, he flourished in his opening presentation at the Bernabeu.

In May last year, Real Madrid decided to fork out a massive €45 million euros for the Brazilian wonderkid, who has been touted the next big star in his country.

Junior, who was loaned back to Flamengo to continue his development, may actually join a club nearby to gain experience, with Getafe, Leganes or Rayo Vallecano the most likely destinations.

All we know is, the youngster looks outstanding in training, showing his incredible burst of pace in this clip.

It had previously emerged in the Brazilian media that the 17-year-old would earn close to 7.5 million euros annually at Los Blancos.

That means he would earn more than Real Madrid trio Marco Asensio, Casemiro and Dani Carvajal, as well as some other players in the squad.

The fact that a 18-year-old, who has yet to be capped by the club, would earn such a vast amount may unsettle players in the coming months but if he makes an impact, it could be worth the squeeze, as such.
