Former Manchester United midfielder David Beckham has pleaded with Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane to beat Liverpool ahead of the Champions League final on Saturday night.

Beckham, who battled with bitter rivals Liverpool throughout his 11 year spell at Old Trafford, sat down with his former teammate Zidane in an interview for Real Madrid's YouTube channel and the pair spoke kindly about each other.

But as you can see in the footage below, the 43-year-old made sure to beg the Los Blancos boss for a historic win in Kiev:

"To have been successful as a player and now to be successful as the boss, the big boss, is incredible," he said to Zidane via Real Madrid official YouTube channel.

"I just want to wish Zizou, the boss, the president, the club good luck in the Champions League final. And please beat Liverpool, please!"

Liverpool will take part in their first Champions League final in 11 years on Saturday night and as a result, have reached more European Cup finals than Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United combined.

The five-time winners are out to claim a sixth European Cup in Kiev, Ukraine, when they come up against 12-time European champs Real Madrid.

Los Blancos themselves are aiming to become the first side to win the competition three years in a row.

The Reds will make their eighth European Cup final appearance at the NSC Olimpiyskiy stadium, but will they come out on top?
