Manchester United new boy Daniel James has shown off his blistering speed during the club's friendly victory over Leeds United.

James was superb on his debut versus Perth Glory and he continued his impressive pre-season form against Leeds on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old was handed another start in Australia and he was electric from the wing. He produced a moment of magic just before half-time.

United broke on the counter attack with the Welshman putting his pace on display in a stunning sequence as he ran from box-to-box in a matter of seconds.

His performance was one of the main talking points from the game. Here's some reaction from social media.

James' showing in pre-season has caught the attention of fans and pundits alike, including Bryan Robson who showered the youngster with glowing praise.

"He has been really impressive. He is really quick. He goes about his training really well," he said. "For me, if you want to be a really good player you have to train well and that lad does.

"He has a great attitude and he's not bothered if someone hits him with a hard tackle. He will get up and proceed with the game."

Robson then compared James to United legend Ryan Giggs.

"He works back a bit like Giggsy. He was a great tackler and people never really mention that," he added.

"If James keeps working hard and can score a few goals, he will be a great asset for the club."

United resume their pre-season with a trip to Singapore as they play Inter Milan on Saturday.
