When you think of the most successful players in football history, perhaps names like Pele, Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo and Lionel Messi spring to mind, but a certain Dani Alves has overtaken some of the biggest figures in world football to a very prestigious accolade.
Paris Saint-Germain were officially crowned the champions of France last night after knocking seven past Monaco and a certain Alves created history, becoming the most decorated footballer in the history of the game.
In the meantime, the 34-year-old added a Ligue 1 medal to his already impressive collection, overtaking former Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona defender Maxwell in the pecking order.

He has lifted three Champions League trophies, six La Liga titles and five Copa del Rey's as well as a Serie A winners medal and a couple of UEFA cups during spells at Barcelona, Juventus and Sevilla.
Congratulations Dani, you are a true winner.
Brazilian full-back Maxwell became club football's most successful player when he lifted the French League Cup with his Paris Saint-Germain teammates in May last year, but since Alves moved to Paris, he has knocked his fellow Brazillian from the top spot.

Maxwell won two Dutch titles and a pair of KNVB Cups during his five years with Ajax before lifting three consecutive Serie A titles with Internazionale, where he also won two Italian Super Cups.
Barcelona was next for the 35-year-old, where two La Liga titles and a Champions League were claimed, among numerous other titles, including a Club World Cup.
You've got to applaud Maxwell's achievements. He isn't exactly the most well-known of players but his trophy cabinet will leave plenty green with envy.
