Alessandro Florenzi was mocked by Cristiano Ronaldo for being too short, but he had the last laugh.

Just before the hour mark, Ronaldo and Florenzi had a heated conversation with the pair furiously exchanging words. The Juventus star then savagely trolled the diminutive AS Roma man.

"You're too short to talk," Ronaldo said to him.

Shortly after the bust-up, Ronaldo apologised and hugged Florenzi yet that didn't stop him from exacting revenge. He broke the deadlock minutes later.

He found the back of the net in the 79th minute.

His side then bagged a second goal thanks to a late strike from Edin Dzeko.

And speaking after AS Roma's two-nil victory over Juventus, Florenzi didn't hold back when his giving thoughts on Ronaldo.

"We'd put the ball out of play twice so someone could get treatment and twice he played it," he said.

"We could've gone on the counter with Kolarov in the first half, but we put it out of play, because that's the kind of people we are.

"He's the Ballon d'Or and thinks he has the right to do everything he did. I say and do a lot of dumb things on the pitch too, but it stays there."

Needless to say, Ronaldo's actions sent social media into overdrive.

Of course, Juventus have already secured the Scudetto though AS Roma are still fighting for a spot in the top four.

They occupy sixth place with 62 points on the board, level with AC Milan and just one point off fourth place Inter Milan.

AS Roma have two league games left as they continue their quest for Champions League football.
