Sam Allardyce has told Crystal Palace that he wants to leave the club, just days after he helped them avoid relegation.
The former England manager was only appointed as manager five months ago, but it seems the 62-year-old wanted 'certain assurances' from chairman Steve Parish before committing his future to the club.
An exclusive from The Mail claims that a meeting on Tuesday evening ended with the former Newcastle and Bolton manager announcing his desire to leave.
Allardyce has enjoyed a relatively successful spell at Selhurst Park, but it looks like he has a made a final decision on his future.
Advert
Previous reports have suggested that Allardyce was unhappy with the club's transfer policy, and it was believed that he didn't receive the backing he wanted ahead of the summer transfer window.
