Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is going viral again for his social media antics.

Just hours after Twitter account TheChelseaDaily claimed that Michy Batshuayi is 'set to become the first openly gay footballer in the Premier League after coming out to teammate', the man himself has responded.

The below account tweeted the following about the Belgian striker on Thursday afternoon:

After the tweet did the rounds on social media, Batshuayi played down the rumour, saying: "bro even your mother knows thats false..."

It quickly picked up thousands of retweets and replies:

As you can imagine, the tweet received plenty of reaction on Twitter and his timeline was soon flooded with GIFS and emojis.

Here are some of the replies. Even the Twitter account in question admitted that his 'sources' were wrong:

After making just 28 appearances last term and scoring nine goals in all competitions (only five of which came in the Premier League), Batshuayi now has five goals in his first seven appearances this season

He could become a reliable alternative to Alvaro Morata for Antonio Conte to utilise, this season.

And he will always be a regular on Twitter, that's for sure.
