Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is still doing bits at the age of 35.

The Ajax striker made Eredivisie history by becoming the very first man to be subbed on, score a goal and to be sent off in a Dutch fixture.

The former Netherlands international entered the fray in the 59th minute and broke the deadlock at Groningen with a tidy finish inside the box, 12 minutes from time.

But he was sent off just six minutes later for a second yellow card.

His eventful cameo was the talk of social media. Here's some reaction from Twitter:

Huntelaar's goal proved to be the match-winner as Ajax secured a vital three points.

Ajax now have 77 points on the board with just three league games left of the season.

The four-time European champions have one league game to negotiate before facing Tottenham in the Champions League semi-final.

Eredivisie have postponed an entire round of matches to help Ajax prepare for their first leg against Spurs.
