Punter Correctly Predicts All 10 Results On Premier League Final Day, Wins £117,000 From £5 Bet

The bet of the season by far...

A punter won a whopping £117,000 after correctly predicting all ten results on the final day of the Premier League season but didn't even know his bet came in until 10 days later.

The unnamed better from Derbyshire placed £5 on an ambitious 23,496/1 10-fold accumulator with Paddy Power, guessing all the outcomes and pocketing exactly £117,485.16.

He had draws in Leicester-Chelsea, Southampton-Huddersfield and Tottenham-Everton, as well as Arsenal beating Burnley, Crystal Palace defeating Bournemouth, Fulham losing to Newcastle and West Ham signing off with a win over Watford.

The lad also accurately predicted both Liverpool and City would win their games on the final day, with Pep Guardiola's side coming from behind against Brighton to record a 4-1 victory that secured them back-to-back titles.

But the one that really did it for him was Cardiff beating Manchester United at Old Trafford for the first time since 1954 courtesy of a brace from Nathaniel Mendez-Laing.

And the best thing about the whole thing is that he didn't have a scooby doo his bet had come in until he checked his account and saw a very handsome figure.

Spokesman Paddy Power said: "Like finding a winning lottery ticket down the back of the sofa, this punter hadn't realised he was over £117,000 richer from an accumulator he had on the last day of the season.

"He predicted the result of every game, including a loss for United against Cardiff, which in hindsight could've been the most obvious of the lot - but didn't find out until 10 days after the event!"

Paddy Power have now pledged to put him in their 'punting Hall of Fame' and you have to say it's only right.

Another contender for the the 'bet of the year' award came in February after a punter won a ridiculous £185,000 from a crazy £50 accumulator.

Clearly living by the motto "You only live once", the anonymous better placed a £50 bet on a total of 20 results at his local William Hill branch and every single one of them came through. Madness.
