We may be around three months from the end of the season but Thierry Henry is already scribbling down his vote for the player of the year. The two time winner is so impressed with one player he had to check he was real.
Most teams still have 13 games to play, with six teams still to play their 25th league game of the season today and tomorrow, but it very much looks like Chelsea will be champions.
Not only have the Blues been almost unbeatable since the early part of the season, and their move to three at the back, but their rivals keep dropping points.
And Henry, writing his column in the Sun this morning, reckons that N'Golo Kante has been so impressive for the champions elect that he should be the PFA player of the year:
"I see no reason why he [Kante] shouldn't be PFA Player of the Year at the end of the season...Barring a catastrophe, Chelsea will be champions so the winner will probably come from them.
"Even if there's a wobble at the Bridge, voting is done so early that the forms will be in by then."
The Arsenal legend admitted that attacking players like Diego Costa and Eden Hazard usually win the award but added, "Usually your Kante-type player goes relatively unnoticed. They are only missed when they're not there. But Kante is so special, you DO notice him. He's so good he must say to himself: "N'Golo, you go and I'll cover!"
"It's an art to sense danger, to tackle, to intercept... He is everywhere, his stats are amazing: Top of tackles, interceptions, distance run . . . I reckon he could ref the game too.
"He has zero flaws. I keep thinking, surely he's going to lose the ball this week? Nope. Or get angry and argue with the ref? Nope. Maybe he'll be tired? Nope."
If a Chelsea player is to miss out on the award, most likely if several of them split the vote, then Henry also has a list of players who could win it, "Zlatan Ibrahimovic is banging them in for fun - at 35.
"Alexis Sanchez is chipping in with goals and assists, Romelu Lukaku went into the weekend top of the scoring charts with 16.
"Then there's Liverpool's Sadio Mane, Harry Kane and Dele Alli at Spurs and Kevin de Bruyne at City, who have had great seasons."
But, talking about his fellow Frenchman, the Belgian assistant manager said on a recent visit to Chelsea's training ground he prodded Kante's chest to make sure he was real, many might think unreal!
Can anyone catch Chelsea at the top of the league?
Should Kante have won the award last season?
Henry keeps changing his mind:
Only last week in a Twitter Q&A the former Gunner turned Sky Sports pundit was talking up Alexis Sanchez' chances of being the PFA Player of the Year.
Thierry Henry was asking his followers on Twitter for their opinions following last weekend's football actions.
It was all centered around who is the best player in the Premier League and of course with the standard of performances this season, it's a topic that divides opinion.
The former striked opened up the debate to those on social media by posing the question:
And TH14 then had time to give his thoughts on the discussion, quickly picking out Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez, who despite his side's difficulties this term, has been a joy to watch.
Henry is a big fan.
But the Belgium national team assistant also made a point of focusing on the impressive performances from many other talented players this term.
He mentioned the likes of Eden Hazard, Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, Sadio Mane, N'Golo Kante, Diego Costa and Henry's mate Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who famously had an interview together that was crashed by Paul Pogba.
