PSV Eindhoven have made an important step in bringing Arjen Robben back to the Philips Stadion after making contact with the Bayern Munich winger.
According to Omroep Brabant, PSV managing director Toon Gerbrands has revealed that Boeren boss Mark van Bommel has approached the 34-year-old Dutchman about a potential summer transfer.
"There has been contact," he said (via Bavarian Football Works). "Mark [van Bommel], who played with Arjen, sent him a message, but it is, of course, up to Arjen to make that decision."
Robben could be tempted by the offer from his fellow Dutch compatriot, especially as he played alongside him at Bayern Munich.
Earlier this month, the former Netherlands international revealed that he would call it time on his nine-year stint at the German club at the end of the season.
"I can say that this is my last year and it is good like that," he said.
"The club moves on and I may move on.

"It is the end of a very good and long period. I won't stop completely yet."
At 34, Robben is still going strong and showed exactly that during the Bavarians' 5-1 thrashing of Benfica in the Champions League last month.
