Lucas Paquetá is off the mark for AC Milan and he fittingly dedicated the moment to his former club, Flamengo.

The 21-year-old highly rated Brazilian midfielder scored the Italian club's second against Cagliari, but his celebration was all about an emotional tribute to the ten teenage boys who tragically lost their lives after the Flamengo academy, Ninho do Urubu, was burnt down last Friday.

Paquetá, who has been dubbed as the 'new Kaká,' came through the Brazilian club's youth academy and broke into their first team back in 2016.

The Brazil international made 49 appearances for Rubro-Negro and scored on 11 occasions.

After the match, the ex-Flamengo star spoke about how much of a "difficult time" it has been after the news broke about his former club.

"I am living a dream playing for Milan and scoring my first Serie A goal, but it was also a dream for me to be in the Flamengo youth academy and I can't forget those who were experiencing the same thing," he told Sky Sport Italia (via Football Italia).

SPORTbible reported back in October that I Rossoneri had reached an agreement to sign Paquetá from Flamengo, beating the likes of Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain to land the Brazilian sensation.

AC Milan made the announcement official during the January transfer window, with Paquetá signing a five-year contract with the club.

Gennaro Gattuso's men took the lead against Cagliari after Luca Ceppitelli's own goal and Paquetá doubled their advantage in the first half.

Krzysztof Piątek, who was signed from Genoa last month as a replacement for Gonzalo Higuaín, continued on his brilliant form after he scored Milan's third and sealed all three points for the club.

The AC Milan manager has previously compared the 23-year-old Poland international to RoboCop.

"Piątek comes across like RoboCop," he said at a press conference last month.

"He only says four words, he doesn't get lost in chatter and he's also showed it in training.

"He's very physical and he likes to attack space. He arrived with enthusiasm and was surprised by how it was welcomed by everyone."

AC Milan are fourth in Serie A and are one point clear of fifth-place Atalanta.
