Nike And AIK Have Released A New Gorgeous All Black Kit

Name a better combination...

I was always of the opinion that AS Roma were the kings of football shirts but Swedish outfit AIK run the scene these days.

You'll remember that last year AIK and Nike partnered to bring out two stunning kits that went viral, with the AIK website crashing when they released a sharp blackout kit in honour of the 1901 team, who won the league title.

Not resting on their laurels, they followed it up with another rapid release - this time a wonderful white kit in tribute to the club's 1900 team, who won the Swedish title for the first time in their history.

And guess what, they've only gone and produced again. The '1891 AIK Black Edition jersey', which marks the formation of the club 128 years ago, is similar to the beauty from last year - only that it has '1891' as opposed to 'AIK' lettering on the front of the shirt.

The limited edition product (128 kits) will be worn by the likes of Sebastian Larsson and Joel Ekstrand in pre-season games.

1100 SEK (£95) is the price set for the shirt and the special box it comes in, though all proceeds are going towards the 'AIK Fotbal Mentor' programme - which is helping unite local youngsters through the beautiful game.

Unsurprisingly, the demand for the shirts has been crazy once again, with the AIK website crashing yet again because of the amount of people trying to buy it.

A quick peruse on the site shows that the kit is out of stock in all sizes, though Pro Direct Soccer will be dropping another batch of the shirts on 21 January.
