The people have spoken...

With it being 'Black Friday' and the day for people to locate all sorts of cracking deals, we at SPORTbible have decided to put out a poll on Twitter to decide who is the greatest bargain in Premier League history.

It took a whole lot of conversing and arguing at our desks to whittle it down to four, which is the maximum number of options allowed in the poll.

Seamus Coleman, Peter Schmeichel, Michu, Roy Keane, Dele Alli, Patrick Vieira, Jamie Vardy and Nicolas Anelka are some of the honourable mentions that just about missed out.

But we must stress that it was an incredibly difficult selection process - even if that's not going to stop you from being angry at us.

Anyway, the people have spoken on poll and after 17,000 votes N'Golo Kante has won comfortably, beating Eric Cantona, his former Leicester City teammate Riyad Mahrez and Joe Hart.

Kante arrived in England as a £5.6 million signing from Caen in 2015 and was the definition of an 'unknown quantity'.

But he quickly showed us what he's all about by covering at least 34% of the earth as Leicester won the Premier League against all the odds under Claudio Ranieri in 2015/16.

The Foxes then made a big profit on him a year later when they sold him to Chelsea for £32 million a year later and his meteoric rise has just continued.

Kante played a key role in the Blues winning the league in Antonio Conte's first season at the helm, deservedly scooping the PFA Player's Player of the Year and FWA Football of the Year.

In a new role this season, he remains one of the first names on the teamsheet under Maurizio Sarri.

In just a few years, Kante has gone from turning out in the lower echelons of French football to a World Cup winner - and one of the best defensive midfielders in the world.

Today, the lovable Frenchman was rewarded for his fine form with a new five-year contract that sees him become Chelsea's top earner.

We're all Kante, aren't we?
