Neymar 'Can Leave' Paris Saint-Germain, Says Club's Sporting Director Leonardo

Paris Saint-Germain's sporting director Leonardo has confirmed that Neymar "can leave" the club amid intense speculation linking him with a stunning return to Barcelona.

The 27-year-old Brazilian continues to be linked with a move back to Spain and Barcelona have expressed a keen interest in re-signing the attacker from PSG.

Neymar's days in Paris appear to be numbered with Leonardo revealing that the Catalan giants have been in contact with the player.

"It's clear to everyone [he wants to leave]. But in football, you say one thing today and tomorrow another ... It's amazing but it's like that," he said.

"The position is clear for all. But one thing is concrete today: he still has three years of contract with us. And since we have not received an offer, we cannot discuss anything.

"We have not received any offers. But we had, it's true, very superficial contacts [from Barcelona]. They said they wanted to buy but we were not sellers.

"Neymar can leave PSG if there is an offer that suits everyone. But to date, we do not know if anyone wants to buy it or at what price."

PSG, meanwhile, will take "appropriate action" against Neymar after he failed to turn up for pre-season training.

"This Monday, July 8, Neymar da Silva Santos Junior was summoned for the resumption of activities of the professional group of Paris Saint-Germain," reads the club's statement.

"Paris Saint-Germain found that the player Neymar Jr did not show up at the agreed time and place, without having been authorised by the club in advance.

"Paris Saint-Germain deplores this situation and will take the appropriate measures resulting from it."
