Brazilian superstar Neymar was given a trip back to his humble beginnings and he burst into tears as a result.

Over in his native Brazil, TV program Caldeirão do Huck created an identical replica version of the first house the PSG man lived in as a youngster.

Neymar's parents and his sister, Rafaela, helped the TV producers create the room and they captured all of the details - from his living room to his bedroom, which contained a plethora of footballs, trophies and other items close to the former Barcelona man's heart.

Immediately after stepping into the room, tears flowed down Neymar's cheek as he reflected on how far he has come in life in becoming one of the world's best players and his country's talisman.

When his family, including girlfriend Bruna Marquezine, joined him in the specially-constructed area, they too were highly emotional.

The episode aired on Saturday and Neymar thanked presenter Luciano Huck and his team for putting together such a wonderful tribute.

Neymar didn't make it back in time for the end of PSG's domestic treble-winning season but he's certainly looked in tip-top condition in his return from injury.

He scored a lovely goal for Brazil at Anfield last week and continued to break defenders' ankles on return to scoring against Austria on Sunday.

After their excellent qualifying campaign that saw them become the first team other than the hosts to qualify, coupled with Neymar fit and firing again, Tite's side are undoubtedly one of the leading contenders for the tournament in Russia.
