It appears Mohamed Salah has been declared fit for the World Cup.

The Egyptian international suffered a tragic shoulder injury in the Champions League final, which cut short his outing against Real Madrid.

The Liverpool camp feared his World Cup campaign was over with the competition just a few weeks away.

But he's undergone MRI scans to determine the extent of his injury.

And results are positive according to King Fut who claim Salah will represent Egypt in Russia: "However, Aly Mazhar, BeFit Egypt founder and a close friend of Salah, announced on his Facebook page on Sunday that scans revealed that the Liverpool star suffers a strain in the shoulder ligaments and that he'll be back on the field in three weeks."

Whether the 25-year-old will be fit for their opening World Cup game against Uruguay remains to be seen, though the Egyptian FA are confident he'll feature versus Russia and Saudi Arabia on June 19th and June 25th.

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.
