Lionel Messi led 'crisis talks' on Barcelona's team bus following their defeat to Valencia in the Copa del Rey final on Saturday.
An 'emergency meeting' was held shortly after Barcelona's 2-1 defeat to Valencia according to Spanish outlet AS.
The club's senior figures immediately carried out an inquest with Messi, Luis Suarez and Gerard Pique probing away after yet another crushing loss.
What's more, the meeting became so intense that people on board remained seated to continue their discussion despite the bus arriving at its destination.
Prior to the Copa del Rey final, Messi spoke candidly about his side's devastating defeat to Liverpool in the Champions League.
"Honestly, I am not even thinking about the European Golden Shoe. Not in my head at all," he said during the week.
"What happened at Liverpool is in my head -- like I said, it was a big blow and I am not thinking about personal things, just getting to this Copa final and winning another trophy.
"It was a really big blow which we received at Anfield -- me and all the dressing room felt it.
"It was tough to get back up, you saw that in the next game we had to play. It was a really tough blow.
"Now [we] have the chance to win a double and end the season on a high note.
"I haven't seen much of the criticism of the manager, and sincerely I think [Ernesto] Valverde has done an impressive job all the time he's been here.
"In the game against Liverpool, he was hardly to blame for anything. We, as the players, are to blame."
Barcelona finish the 2018/19 campaign with just one major silverware in the shape of the La Liga title.
The Catalan giants were on course for a treble but they'll have to settle for one piece of trophy this season.
