Kylian Mbappé has reached another impressive feat in his ever-growing career after he equaled Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima's goalscoring record in the Champions League.

Yes, the 20-year-old French forward has matched the Brazilian legend's record in Europe's elite competition and done it in fewer appearances.

The Paris Saint-Germain star, who was the inaugural winner of France Football's Kopa Trophy in 2018, has scored 14 times in 24 matches.

Ronaldo, on the other hand, scored 14 times after 40 matches

Okay, Mbappé is a long way off from catching all-time Champions League top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo (121) or second-place Lionel Messi (106), but he's only 20 years old and looks like he could have a long, prosperous playing career.

Mbappé completed his permanent move to the reigning Ligue 1 champions last summer after he finished his initial loan spell at the club.

Before the start of the current season, the former Monaco ace was in brilliant form for France during last year's World Cup and took home the FIFA World Cup Best Young Player Award.

The World Cup-winning Frenchman has been in fine form for his club this season, as he showed his threat against Manchester United in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

PSG boss Thomas Tuchel, who was without Neymar and Edinson Cavani for the clash, had his faith rewarded in Mbappé after he scored his side's second in the first leg of the match.

Even after the match, Mbappé showed the type of mentality that would tip him for a future captaincy role or even a Ballon d'Or.

"We are annoyed because we could have scored a third," he told RMC.

"I think with a third it would have been over. I am going to prepare myself to score another in the 2nd leg!"

Ángel Di María had a memorable night on his return to Old Trafford after he assisted both goals in the match, despite the fact that United fans booed him when they had the chance.

On the other hand, Alexis Sánchez had a night to forget in the match, especially when his stats showed how badly he performed.

Will Mbappé win a Ballon d'Or?
