‘It Really P****s Me Off Seeing Icardi Use My Children Against Me,’ Says Maxi Lopez

Maxi Lopez has launched a scathing attack on ex-wife Wanda Nara and accused Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi of 'using his children against him.'

The Argentine forward, 35, ended up in a strange love triangle with the pair, which ended with Icardi reportedly having an affair with the 32-year-old TV presenter and model.

But Lopez, who is a free agent after his time with Brazilian side Vasco da Gama, has slammed the Inter star's relationship with his children.

"When I saw the photos of my children wearing Inter and Newell's shirts, I told them that they would only understand once they became a father," the ex-Barcelona player told Argentine TV station Telefe (via ITA Sport Press).

"It really p****s me off of seeing my children used. Then several times he hung up the phone while they were talking to me."

Lopez and Wanda, who is also Icardi's agent, were married for five years and had three children together: nine-year-old Valentino, eight-year-old Constantino and seven-year-old Benedicto.

He admitted that he has tried to talk to his ex-wife on many occasions, but he said that "for a long time we have stopped the dialogue."

He continued: "I have seen my children only twice in the last year: there is an agreement signed with a judge who has never been respected. I'm losing part of their life.

"With her, it's all a question of money, for my vacation week, for the guys who have to travel. She does not lack money, I lack respect."

Icardi has had Lopez's children tattooed on his arm and had a heated rivalry with the player in the past.

Lopez played for Sampdoria in 2014 when he came up against Inter Milan and refused to shake the Argentina international's hand.

And the media called the match the 'Wanda derby' after Lopez snubbed Icardi.

Wanda has refuted Lopez's claims about cheating on him and accused her former lover of having an affair before she walked out.

"I persevered out of love for our children," she told Italian magazine Chi in 2014.

"I forgave him so many times that I don't even know how I did it ... When I started my relationship with Mauro, I had already divorced Maxi Lopez."
