Mario Balotelli Responds To Jamie Carragher Jibe

We're glad it's always him!

Jamie Carragher was not exactly gutted to see Mario Balotelli leave Liverpool. The former Liverpool defender was quick to comment on the striker's departure to French side Nice on the last day of the transfer window, saying he wasn't even worth a free transfer.

The Italian left on transfer deadline day after a summer of training with the reserves and not being wanted by the club who signed him two seasons ago but sent him out on loan to AC Milan last season. And Carra wasn't exactly heartbroken to see him go:

Today Balotelli's agent was having a go at Jurgen Klopp, suggesting the German manager was a "piece of shit" for the way he treated his client. Which seemed very harsh on the Liverpool boss who never even signed the former Manchester City striker.

However that's not the end of the verbal sparring today with the player taking to Twitter to finally respond to the Reds legend who said he was too expensive as a free transfer:

Plenty will defend Carra and stick the boot in at Balotelli and whilst there's no doubt the former Inter player hasn't made enough of his ability during most of his career his time at Anfield was never going to be a success and he was at times unfairly criticised.

Klopp didn't sign him but neither really did Brendan Rodgers and he was never given the chance to play as a pair upfront, the way he best plays, when Daniel Sturridge picked up an injury early on in Mario's time in Liverpool.

Still whatever your view on the matter you never expected the striker to stay quiet did you?
