A pair of Manchester United fans are so confident they will soon have two new high-profile reinforcements coming into the club that they've already jumped the gun a little bit.

Last night, prior to the friendly with Kristiansund in Oslo, one fan was spotted with 'Maguire 5' on the back of his shirt, with another apparently sporting 'Dybala 21'.

Whether the shirts were real or the names were edited on remains to be seen.

Maguire, a top defensive target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has been heavily linked and it seems as though a deal will happen as long as United cough up in excess of £80 million for the England centre-back.

And the signs are looking promising regarding Dybala. Late last night it was reported that United and Juventus have agreed a sensational swap deal 'in principle' involving the Argentine and Romelu Lukaku.

Sky Italia say United must now agree personal terms with the former Palermo man.

If United do acquire him, the aforementioned fan might still be a tad disappointed as he is unlikely to take the No.21 shirt - with Daniel James taking the number after completing his £15 million move from Swansea earlier this summer.

The No.5 is free and available for Maguire if that big-money deal can be thrashed out, however.

Earlier this summer, a couple of over-excited United fans went and got Matthijs De Ligt's name printed on the back of their jerseys, along with the No.5 - but they were made to look a little daft after the Dutchman joined Juventus in a £67.5 million move.
