Man United's Juan Mata Linked With Incredible Summer Swap Deal

Man United's Juan Mata Linked With Incredible Summer Swap Deal

Could he be on the move?

When Jose Mourinho arrived at Manchester United in the summer, many expected Juan Mata to be one of the first to leave.

He had of course already offloaded him at Chelsea despite him winning the club's Player of the Year award a number of times, meaning he was a good bet to be sold as soon as Mourinho moved to Old Trafford.

However, the Spaniard has completely won over his former boss and has been one of the club's best players this season.

He has scored 10 goals in all competitions, as well as contributing further with four assists.

Mata won't play again this season but that hasn't stopped a story that he could be about to leave the club in the summer.

Turkish outlet Fanatik say he could be involved in a swap deal that will ultimately see him join Besiktas.

The story is that Brazilian Anderson Talisca, who has been on loan at Besiktas this season, will return to his parent club Benfica after an impressive season in the Turkish top flight - he has 10 goals and six assists to his name this term.

But he isn't expected to be with Benfica for long, as the consensus is that Manchester United will immediately activate his £21 million release clause and finally sign a player from the Portuguese side. I've lost count of the amount of times they agreed deals for Nico Gaitan, Victor Lindelof and others.

The final part of the merry go-round will apparently see Mata go to Besiktas, ending his stint with United before his contract expires.

Can you see the deal happening at all?
