He's a different player...

Memphis Depay endured a miserable time at Manchester United but he's been completely and utterly rejuvenated in France.

The Dutchman capped off a phenomenal season with Lyon in Ligue One by scoring a hat-trick against Nice at home to ensure the club finished third and qualified for next season's Champions League

He found the net in the 48th, 65th and 86th minute, including scoring a lowly free-kick for his second and a cheeky chip for the hat-trick

Not only was it his second hat-trick for the club, it also means he finished the domestic campaign by contributing towards 30 goals - boasting an excellent return of 17 goals and 13 assists in the league.

His numbers are even more impressive when you consider that only Edinson Cavani and Florian Thauvin scored more goals than him in the French top flight.

With 13 assists, he's tied with Neymar and Dimitri Payet's as the division's top assister - his tally of four in a masterful performance against Metz last month allowing him to be on the same level as two of the league's most creative players.

The 24-year old struggled to cope with the pressure of being the No.7 at Old Trafford but sometimes a new environment is exactly what a player needs to find his feet again and it's safe to say that's what happened with Memphis.

Don't be surprised to see his name linked with a lot of European giants in the summer window.
